- A diet high in processed foods leads to nutrient deficiencies and is linked to many health risks, including obesity, high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, dementia, and an increased risk of early death.
- Unhealthy levels of added sugar and sodium and harmful additives lead to inflammation throughout the body and brain, contributing to anxiety and depression.
How It Works
Giving Tree Acres produces:
Organically grown fruits and vegetables (offerings to rotate seasonally)
Pasture-raised eggs
Grass-fed and pasture-raised protein (beef, lamb, chicken, turkey, and pork)
Other value-added natural food items (i.e., bone broth, herbs and spices, wild honey)
The product is donated to existing food pantries and farmstands in low-income neighborhoods. Priority is given to organizations that:
Have an established reputation with an existing customer base.
Maintain a food pantry or farmstand market that is easily accessible to its customer base by walking or bus.
Offers educational programs on nutrition, food as medicine to prevent/manage disease, and cooking classes promoting healthy food preparation methods.
Shares our vision to promote fresh foods over processed food to create healthier, more resilient communities.

Our low-income neighbors receive a consistent supply of nutritionally dense, nourishing foods for their families through their existing food access channels and at affordable prices.
